Completion of this class will assist you in Installing and Maintaining
Business Communications Manager (BCM) Systems

 

This 5-day course is designed to enable telephone technicians to install, program and maintain the Nortel Business Communications Manager 50 System (BCM 50) and presentations on BCM 200, 400 and 450. Training is interactive with participants performing installation and programming functions on a live system. Information will be presented in both vertical and written form followed-up by testing.

  • Install and perform initial configuration of the BCM 50 system

  • Configure VOIP gateways
  • Configure T1/PRI parameters
  • Program terminals and sets
  • Program system features and functions
  • Install and program IP sets and IP trunks
  • Use CallPilot mailboxes
  • Configure auto-attendant
  • Configure custom call routing
  • Configure basic intelligent contact center
  • Perform important back-up and restore programming
  • Loading of important patches and security PEPS

  • Prerequisite Skills:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of telephone installation and wiring
  • Basic T1/PRI knowledge
  • Knowledge of basic Norstar and CallPilot (helpful but not required)
